Last weekend, my dad and I rode our motorcycles to Black Hawk, Colorado.

I wanted to include a picture of a tree trunk as soon as I read this week's prompt. It's the perfect subject for a contrasty black and white photo.

I went to a friend's wedding. It was a western-themed event with burros, llamas, a horse-drawn carriage, and an old-timey prospector.

We ventured over to the Rueter-Hess Incline to make some photos and get some exercise.

This week I finally got the roll of Ektachrome slide film back from the photo lab. It took slightly less than a month to process, but I'm pleased with the results.

I chose to use my grandfather's Rolleiflex this week because its waist-level viewfinder makes it easy to get low. The twin lens reflex (TLR) viewfinder allows me to compose and focus the camera from above. So, there's no need to lay on the floor to get low-angle shots.

This week's prompt is "farm life," something I've been thinking about since I discovered a neighbor's chickens.

This week's prompt is "Appliance Love," which I struggled with. I'm not very fond of most of my household appliances. In fact, my mood sours whenever I think about my Internet-connected, touchscreen-controlled oven. So dumb!

This week's prompt is "Living in a Material World." So without much thought, my family and I headed to the nearest shopping mall in search of the "material world."
