The Photo Game

I'm committing to shoot and develop a roll of film every week.

I'm having a lot of fun with film photography, so much so that I committed to shooting and processing at least one roll every week.

I've joined Kenneth Wajda and a small group of photographers in a weekly photo game. Each week Kenneth writes a prompt, and we're each tasked with creating a photograph that meets the prompt.

There are a few rules:

  • All submissions must be scans of film, no photos from digital cameras
  • Images must be taken, processed, and submitted by 8AM each Saturday
  • Miss a week, and you're out

My goal in playing is simple. Get out and shoot film.

The image at the top of this post is my first submission. It's a half-frame photo of my wife and daughter shot on HP5+ with my Olympus Pen EE-2.

The prompt was "One thing for certain,"  and my caption for the photo is, "One thing for certain, Mom never gets a break."

The prompt for next Saturday is, "Friend, Best Friend, Some Kind of Friend." Now to go make some images of friends :)
